COWS & CALVES $1000 AT WOOLOOGA
Thursday 11th February

Sullivan Livestock yarded 1062 at their Woolooga sale held Thursday 11th February. Cattle were drawn from Mundubbera, Kilkivan, Aramara, Maryborough, Kenilworth and local areas.

Dennis & Sue Billiau, Wonga sold Droughtmaster x steers 12 – 14 mths for $600 & $555.  Errol Janke, Widgee sold 12 mth old Droughtmaster x steers for $545. Davwald P/L, Wonga sold Brahman steers 18 mths for $620.  Senepol x weaner steers from the Crossley family, sold for $450. Light Santa weaner steers from the Woods Family, Bauple sold for $397.50. No bigger steers were yarded on the day.

Quality Charbray heifers 18 mths from the Wieden Family, Mundubbera sold for $685.  Senepol x heifers16 mths from Ron & Sue McMah, Brooloo sold for $550.  The Anderson Family sold Droughtmaster heifers 16 mths for $630 & $620.  Percy Bichel, Glastonbury sold Droughtmaster & Charbray heifers 16 mths for $550.  Dennis & Sue Billiau, Wonga sold Droughtmaster heifers 12 mths for $457.20 , $452.20, $430,$435 & $440.  Kerinyaga Partnership, Glastonbury sold Charbray x heifers 12mths for $405 & $397.20.

Quality Charbray cows and calves from Wayne and Leslie Davis, ‘Barambahdale’ Murgon sold for $1000 and their Brahman cows and calves sold for $850.  Durram Grazing, Gunalda sold Charbray cows and calves for $865. Colin Clem, Greens Creek sold Brahman cows and calves for $860.

WOOLOOGA COWS & CALVES $1370

Sullivan Livestock yarded 1092 cattle at Woolooga’s Female sale held Thursday 20th August, where the market for quality females sold particularly well. Cattle were drawn from Miriam Vale, Mt Perry, Gayndah, Woolooga, Cooroy, Eumundi & Gympie Areas.

Topping the day was Droughtmaster heifers & calves from the Belling Family, Gympie selling for $1370 & $1350. Dennis & Clare Couper, Mooloo sold Droughtmaster Cows PTIC for $980. Colin & Julie Dodd, Mooloo sold Droughtmaster cows for $970. Howard & Brenda Kirby “Gemini Downs” sold Droughtmaster cows for $880, $850, $810 & $805. Jason Schmidt, Mt Perry sold Charbray heifers PTIC for $960 & Brahman x heifers for $800. Jeff Annette Rose, Murgon sold Charbray heifers PTIC for $990. Robert Kirk “Lara Partnership” Gayndah sold quality Droughtmaster heifers PTIC for $945 & $845 while the unjoined sisters sold for $805, Droughtmaster heifers unjoined from Jemville Pty Ltd sold for $815 & $670. Better quality mating age heifers sold from $580 to $815.

Overall it was a very successful sale for Sullivan Livestock & it’s vendors, with a large crowd supporting the day.
