A good quality yarding of 653 cattle at Woolooga Female Sale held Thursday 22nd September where the market was very strong for all descriptions. Cattle were drawn from Gayndah, Bundaberg, Teebar, Maryborough, Kenilworth, Eumundi & all local areas.
Topping the day was Droughtmaster Heifers PTIC from Lara Partnership, Gayndah selling for $1,200 & $1,015 while their unjoined heifers sold for $985. Lindsay Cherry, Gayndah sold Droughtmaster heifers PTIC for $1,150. Droughtmaster heifers from Jason Johnston, Kenilworth sold for $1,000. Droughtmaster Cows & Calves from Teebar sold for $1,055. Stan & Lyn Tompkins, Cedar Pocket sold Droughtmaster Cows & Calves for $1,050 while Neville Hinchliffe sold Droughtmaster Cows & Calves for $1,040. John Krafft, Gunalda sold Droughtmaster Cows & Calves for $1,030 & $910. Brahman x heifers from the Dent Family, Gayndah sold for $830. Vestabank Pty Ltd, Kilkivan sold Brahman x heifers for $780. Brahman heifers from Jason Johnston sold for $790. Young Droughtmaster heifers from John Samain, Traveston sold for $555 & $505. Good quality Senepol x heifers from Ian Manly, Wonga sold for $550. Trident farms, Cinnabar sold Brangus heifers 12 months for $575 while their x bred sisters sold for $570 & $550. Charbray heifers from David Peddle, Miva sold for $560.
Brahman x weaner heifers from Goomeri sold for $475 & $445 for their Droughtmaster x sisters. Droughtmaster weaner heifers from A Templeton & Son, Eumundi sold for $540 & $425. Helen Pratt, Chatsworth sold Droughtmaster heifers for $495. Generally weaner heifers sold from $370 to $540, while light weaner heifers sold to a top of $405.
